ATEK Drive Solutions strengthens its operational efficiency. As of now, Mr. Teschner is responsible for the entire operation along our value chain – with a clear focus on quality, reliability, and efficiency.
Dirk Teschner has been part of ATEK Drive Solutions for several years. After his successful time as Head of Purchasing, he is transitioning to the role of Director of Operations – a consistent step that brings together his strengths in procurement, supply chain, and production. With 28 years of experience in mechanical engineering, he combines hands-on practice with a strategic perspective.
In close coordination with management, the respective department heads, and employees, Dirk Teschner plans and manages the overall operational performance, optimizes processes according to lean principles, and leads the areas of production, logistics, service, purchasing, shipping, and quality. He ensures compliance with ISO quality, environmental, and safety standards, manages performance through clearly defined KPIs and regular reporting, and drives cross-departmental projects as well as collaboration with internal and external partners as a central interface.
From the shop floor to strategy: After training as an industrial mechanic, he gained experience in final assembly, commissioning, and quality assurance, worked in technical/commercial spare parts sales, took responsibility in project management for new products, and completed further training as a state-certified mechanical engineering technician and a certified business economist while working. At ATEK Drive Solutions, he last led purchasing as Head of Purchasing – the ideal foundation for his new role as Director of Operations.
