Fixed caliper brakes are the robust solution for braking applications in which the brake caliper is firmly connected to the brake carrier. In contrast to floating caliper brakes, the fixed caliper remains fixed in its position, which ensures stable braking performance.
Special functions:
Protection against environmental influences: The hydraulic seals are far away from the brake disk to protect against heat build-up as a result of highly dynamic braking. Fully sealed joints prevent the ingress of dirt and fluids, which is particularly useful outdoors or in offshore applications.
Areas of application: The brakes have mining approval for the brake linings as standard. Typical areas of application for these spring-operated, hydraulically opening brake callipers are cranes, hoists, heavy industry, conveyor system construction and general mechanical engineering.
Service brake – active parking caliper brake – pneumatically actuated and spring-applied
Service brake – active lever brake – hydraulically actuated and spring-applied
Safety brake – passive fixed calliper brake – spring-operated and hydraulically released
