We process the data you have sent us in connection with your application to assess your suitability for the position (or possibly other open positions in our company) and to conduct the application process.
The legal basis for processing your personal data in this application process is primarily Article 6(1)(b) GDPR. According to this, the processing of data is permissible if it is necessary for the decision about the establishment of an employment relationship. If the data may be necessary for legal action after the completion of the application process, processing may be carried out based on the provisions of Article 6 GDPR, especially for the protection of legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR. Our interest would then be in asserting or defending claims. If special categories of personal data pursuant to Article 9 GDPR (e.g., health data) are processed, the legal basis is Section 26(3) BDSG or Article 9(2)(b) GDPR in conjunction with Article 6(1)(b) GDPR.
Data from applicants will be deleted after 6 months in the case of a rejection. If you have been awarded a position in the course of the application process, the data will be transferred to the personnel file.
Your applicant data will be reviewed by the HR department upon receipt of your application. Suitable applications will then be forwarded internally to the department heads for the respective open position. The further process will then be coordinated. Within the company, only individuals who require access to your data for the proper conduct of our application procedure have access.
The data is processed solely in data centers of the Federal Republic of Germany.
You have the right to access the personal data we process concerning you. In the case of a request for access that is not made in writing, we ask for your understanding that we may request proof from you to verify that you are the person you claim to be. You have the right to rectification or deletion or to restrict processing to the extent that you are legally entitled to do so. Furthermore, you have the right to object to the processing within the framework of legal provisions. The same applies to the right to data portability. You have the right to complain about the processing of personal data by us to a data protection supervisory authority.
