The operating brake type RH is implemented as an active lever brake that operates pneumatically and is spring-opened. This means that in normal operating conditions, the forces from integrated springs keep the brake open, preventing any braking moment. It is only when compressed air is supplied through the pneumatic system that the active lever brake is actuated and the desired braking moment is generated. This design ensures safe and controlled braking, as the spring package reliably opens the operating brake, with targeted use of pneumatics activating the braking force. Active lever brakes, such as the RH types, are primarily used in systems where quick and precise brake operation is required.
