This enhances safety in all operating modes – from normal operation to emergency stops to maintenance – and enables reproducible processes under varying visitor loads. Depending on the ride concept, the system can be modularly configured and can include service brakes (operating brake), safety brakes (safety/redundancy brake), and holding/locking functions with a torque of up to 50,000 Nm. The solution is typically complemented by suitable gears (e.g., bevel or planetary gears), couplings, sensors, and a freely configurable control system, allowing both economical standard variants and complex premium designs to be realized – tailored to load cases, installation space, noise specifications, and safety concepts.
